This is Arundo donax (river cane) at the South Bowie Street crossing of Barons Creek in Fredericksburg, Texas. The cane was sprayed on September 14, 2015, with a mix of herbicides especially prepared to kill this plant but not to damage anything else in the creek. Our goal is to
eliminate 100% of this fast growing invasive plant in the City. Healthy Creeks is a grass roots movement of property owners and other citizens working with the City of Fredericksburg, Texas Parks and Wildlife, and the Hill Country Alliance.
