Not Arundo

I think this is switchcane "poaceae". S Bowie west of Barons Creek. Not a troubling invasive.

Status of Treated Arundo

Sprayed in September 2015. Looks dead!  Barons Creek at S Bowie

Fredericksburg Healthy Creeks is a Grass-Roots Movement

This is Arundo donax (river cane) at the South Bowie Street crossing of Barons Creek in Fredericksburg, Texas.  The cane was sprayed on September 14, 2015, with a mix of herbicides especially prepared to kill this plant but not to damage anything else in the creek.  Our goal is to eliminate 100% of this fast growing invasive plant in the City.  Healthy Creeks is a grass roots movement of property owners and other citizens working with the City of Fredericksburg, Texas Parks and Wildlife, and the Hill Country Alliance.  For more information, contact community organizer Robert Deming at 830-992-5676 rcdeming@gmail.com
